Voor het eerst naar Curaçao, Paulina Car Rental werd aangeraden door onze vriendin die er woont, en na het lezen van de reviews en de prima prijzen voor 16 dagen een auto gereserveerd, ook omdat wij liefst lokaal huren. Goed en vriendelijk contact via mail en WhatsApp, transfer vanaf de luchthaven door de vriendelijke en vrolijke Cerrel die met ons op Grote Berg de auto controleerde, uitleg gaf en zeker ook over de wat andere verkeerssituaties, gebruiken en "regels" die er op Curaçao gelden, met een A4'tje om het te onthouden. Prima, goed onderhouden & ervaren Mazda CX3 die ons overal gebracht heeft, als je naar sommige mooie stranden wil zeker een aanrader, lijkt soms wel of je een 4x4 nodig hebt! (Curaçao heeft verder prima wegen overigens! En steeds meer drempels...) Ik had zelf voor handgeschakelde versnellingsbak gekozen, prima te doen in de heuvels, gaf me goeie controle. Dat we de auto (door de droogte erg stoffig van buiten) op tijd terug brachten werden we weer vriendelijk ontvangen en na een korte inspectie teruggebracht naar de luchthaven. De auto zou direct schoon gemaakt worden, volgende huurder zou over twee uur al komen, en er stond al een hele vloot nieuwe auto's die klaar gemaakt werden voor de verhuur! Paulina Car Rental is zeker een aanrader, volgende keer huren we weer hier! Ze hebben trouwens ook 3 mooie Villas te huur 😉🇨🇼🖖

I travel frequently but have never written a review it’s just not my style. However, my recent experience with the team at Paulina Car Rental in Curacao was so fantastic that I feel compelled to give them a big shout out. I spent several hours spread over a few days, in advance of our trip, trying to secure a rental car that fit our needs. As a couple, we needed only a small car at a fair price – but wanted a nice ride that would be reliable. We also wanted the rental for 2 separate blocks of 4-5 days each during our 16-day vacation because we didn’t want to pay for a car during about a 1-week block in the middle when we wouldn’t be using it. After several days of frustration and total futility, I finally found Paulina Car Rental – and it was a breath of fresh air. Haymund Paulina (owner) and Cerrel Ferdinand (operations manager) were absolutely fantastic people to deal with – as was Kim, and the rest of team Paulina! They were able to provide us with a beautiful small Lexus at a very attractive price – and for the exact days we wanted. Furthermore, Paulina was incredibly flexible during our time in Curacao. As our trip unfolded, our preplanned agenda changed, and that changed the dates that we wanted the rental car… but Paulina just kept smiling and saying “NO PROBLEM, we can do that”. Other agencies had similar size / brand cars listed on their websites for as much as twice the cost of the Lexus we got from Paulina. Furthermore, when I initially thought I might have to settle for one of the overpriced agencies… they typically didn’t even have any availability of cars in my category. As we all know, it takes the edge off a vacation when you can’t get what you really want in the way of accommodations or rental cars… and conversely, it adds so much enjoyment to a vacation when you find companies like Paulina Car Rental that take away any potential grief. We travelled extensively throughout Curacao – in a great car, at a great price, on our desired agenda. And if all of that isn’t enough to make you choose Paulina… they ended up becoming our informal concierge during our vacation. What is the best beach in Curacao, or what is the best steakhouse, or who has the best seafood… a quick call to Paulina and you get the inside scoop from the fantastic team of locals that know their island like the back of their hand – and all while you’re driving their rental car! Haymund and Cerrel have become new friends. We wouldn’t even think of dealing with anyone other than Paulina Car Rental on our next trip back to Curacao. It’s a shame there isn’t a Paulina in every vacation destination! Try them when you’re travelling in Curacao… you can’t find better people, supplying better cars, at better prices and with better service!
